We visited Shankara Vidyalaya School in Kolar, to give an awareness and demonstration of the Guides Rally 40 meter receiver models for the school children. We presented the Box model and the Examination Board model to the children. The school children were so surprised and excited to see the Examination Board model.
We also demonstrated how to setup an antenna for reception and gave them a idea as to how to construct a simple antenna. Later on we moved on to explain the different kinds of components that are used in the GR-40 and brief explanation how it functions. Almost 5 batches of students each consisting of 10 students came forward to get to know the components. Meantime, the GR-40 Models were powered up, connected the antenna and we asked the students to have a hands on experience of the receiver. The students were so thrilled.
